Reed, A Sans Serif Typeface

Reed is the latest offering from the James Junk Design Database. A typeface for exploring the succession of blemishes in a bionetwork of beauty and perfection, Reed's form and function are deeply informed by one’s enduring movement through natural terrains, embodying the clean, flowing lines of an underwood, influenced by the organic forms found in forest frolics, and the thoughtful study of soil.

Reed is born out of a yearning for an organically fallible sans serif. Fluid, though static. Concrete, yet in flux. Just like time spent outdoors. Reed was made to be used—web, branding, print, body art, wayfinding, stamping, identity.
